Supplementary Additions to the Course
National Gallery of Art
This is a photo of me and some friends at the National Gallery of Art back in January of 2022. We spent the day looking at pieces from different time periods, different parts of the world, and different movements. Our favorite thing to do was come up with our own interpretations of the art! Even though this wasn't my first time attending, I found new meaning in some of my favorite pieces which allowed for a fresh experience.
Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building
This is a photo of me at the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building in April of 2022. The focus of this museum is on futuristic ideas of living and the display of these ideas through art. I spent some time looking at and thinking about the different ways that different artists anticipate or desire for the human population to live. It really got me thinking about the direction our world is traveling towards.
